looks really good!

quick question tho, what wheels are those? i have them as well and i'm trying to figure out what they are!

Are you talking about his original wheels? If so, they are American Racing Vectors. I always call them "Dukes of Hazzard wheels" :)

I have them on my 260 crapcan racer.

The "before" wheels are/are American Racing Vectors (aka "Dukes of Hazzard" wheels). The "after" wheels are Konig Rewinds.

Randy, what did you use to replace the plastic riser piece that goes at the top of the lip between the rear and front of the car (see pic)? Looks like you found something new or came up with a good replacement!

That just looks like the standard plastic piece to me. Eiji at Datsun Spirit used to have new ones, but I am not sure if he still does.

Wonderful job. That white really makes the new beautiful blue interior POP! And the under-hood sparkles like a jewel.

If you and Arne decide to meet, pick me up in Kansas, we can meet him in Denver. Then make a fine tour, Arne leading, you, then me, red white & blue. :)

Thanks for the nice comments,

Duffman, Mike is right. It's the standard piece that I just cleanend up.

The wheels are 15's and Konigs. Sold the old "Dukes" wheels on craigslist.

I wish I could take credit for the carbs but my check book did all the hard work. I still have my original carbs that I will one day polish up and use as an art piece.

I started this project October 2008. I had no intention of buyng another 240, but I had stopped by a friends shop who mainly just does British cars and saw this Z sitting off to the side. When I looked through the window and saw number 797 I knew who's car it was as I had seen it at a local show. One day later I wind up owning the car and decide to restore her back.

You may have seen this car on ebay back in 2007, The PO was the auction winner and drove down to Louisiana to pick her up. After getting back to Knoxville and driving it around for a year to local shows he took it in for new fuel lines, which is where I saw it. PO plans were to restore as well, but like everything else life happens, and he graciously decided to let me buy it. We still keep in touch, and he's been over to the house to check on the progress.

Bonzi Lon, I like that idea........
