Posted March 16, 201114 yr comment_349501 Just in the middle of doing the front wheel bearings on my '72 and am a little stumped. Which side of the inner seal goes towards the spindle? The left (with groove facing engine) or the right (groove facing away from engine) in the picture? Thanks! Sorry for cross-posting, just realized there is a "Emergency help" category Edited March 16, 201114 yr by boyracer88 cross posting Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38913-help-wheel-bearing-seal-orientation/ Share on other sites
March 17, 201114 yr comment_349534 The side shown on the left will be looking inside the hub if that makes sence Remember to pack that "Groove" with grease as well. The side pictured on the right is the top surface of the seal that will be seen when you look at the back side of the hub.
