I've read a few wiper motor conversion threads, but does anyone know where you can still get a wiper motor for a 240? Obviously, not new but a used one that works.

It seems I looked everywhere, and everything points me to a conversion.

Gentleman,

Thank you, Datsunstore never showed up on my search list.

I have not tried the lubricating and grease, will give that a shot this weekend. It's not fried, but only moves the wipers a few inches and then stops.

Thanks for the tips and info.

I have a series 1 wiper motor that works if you are interested. It is in "as-pulled" condition and it needs a new connector and a little cleaning but it does work on both speeds. PM me if interested.

Also, they occasionally show up rebuilt on ebay for around $300.00. Not sure if they are series 1 though.

I took out the entire assembly, lubricated and greased it, no problems. Works like a charm. If you dont count that my wiper switch goes crazy occasionally.

BTW. anyone knows where to get those nice chrome wipers?

I've seen plenty on eBay from Nissan dealers.

By the way, what I did was after removing the linkages from the motor, I blasted out the 30+ years of grease and grime with brake cleaner. After that I used the white spray grease.

I was very pleased with the results when I was caught in the rain.
