Rob, also please notice that the valves have to be adjusted when the engine is HOT and it will cool down while you adjust them, do half the engine, put on the valve cover, get the engine bvarmed back up and adjust the 2nd half.

I also 2nd Guy's suggestion and advice you to check the rockers for wear if the cam have made a groove in the rockers, you will not be able to adjust them correct.
