Hi, I was wondering what the best option would be? I currenntly have flattop carbs, but I was wondering if it really is worth getting them rebuilt by ztherapy. Otherwise the next cheapest solution is a new pair of weber dgv's, which I heard are not as good as su's, but I have only seen them compared to roundtops. I could get roundtops, but I have not been able to find the full setup, and then I would have to probably get those rebuilt. I have a 1973 240z with and L28, and I am on a very tight budget. Thank you for your help!

Get a cheap set of used round tops, ship them off to Ztherapy, pay the difference, bolt on, tune, enjoy! It really is worth the money . I love a Weber carb BUT they are not typically bolt-on. Unless you have a few extra jets laying around and some working knowledge you'll be far better off with the SU's.

Yoshi,

The flat top carbs are difficult to rebuild and set-up, especially for a novice. And from what I have seen, the re-build kits basically supply gaskets. Setting these up is crucial, and with worn components, not easy. One of the main things that need done is the throttle spindle becomes worn, and this needs addressed...not just a case of throwing on some new gaskets.... spares are NLA as well.
