Can anyone who regularly takes in the Montreal F1 recommend a prime area to view the race from? http://www.circuitgillesvilleneuve.ca/tickets-f1.html

I'm about to buy tickets and would appreciate expert input :)

Grandstands 11 and 15 at normally the most popular. Grandstand 11 allows a view of the start and the first couple of corners. If you sit on the "north" side, you'll also see them heading up the hill into the next corner. I personally would try Grandstand 15 as you can see them approaching the hairpin as well as exiting...(it's one of the few places on the track they can pass).

That said, I haven't attended in person in several years as I refuse to pay the $$ they're asking for a seat.

Enjoy the experience...

The grandstands at the hairpin that puts you onto the last straight before the START/FINISH line is where my friend from Nova Scotia sits and he says it's a prime location. I guess you will not be taking the 240 on a road trip, or do you plan to. NJ isn't very far from Montreal. If I had the cash this year and my car was finished I would be there. Have a GREAT TIME!

Thanks All! Had a great time. I sat in Grandstand 15 Section 4 (south side) and was high enough to just see over the protective fence.

Here is a photo I took of button on the sunny saturday before the wet race.
