Does anyone know where I can get a heater control valve for my 78 280z 2+2? This is the one with a vacuum actuator on top. It is located under the dash against the firewall on the passenger side. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks PS. It has factory air.

I am mainly concerned with having defrost and maybe heat so I can drive it without the windshield fogging up on inside. Is there any other parts I could swap from other z's that would give me defrost? Could someone explain how and when this valve opens and closes, and how it operates. Any info would help me greatly, and I would appreciate any advice. Thanks, Jeff.

Zed Head hit a solid Home Run finding this information on zcar.com. This has been a HUGE issue for a while!! I checked on the NAPA part and it was running $9.99 in Houston(as of the date of this post). I haven't checked the $$$ or availability of the Nissan Part, but will soon and repost here.

My hat is off to Palladin over at ZCar.com for the hard work and writeup. Many thanks to both!!!

BTW: the NAPA part number is: BK 6601000, Nissan Part Number: 27116-P6500
