just got back from cruzin in the zed. took a few cranks of the key and a few pumps of the gas but she fired up nicely. didn't even have to charge the battery. i have a kill switch on it so as not to drain it. a heated garage helps too. i a happy :classic: camper now!!

Canadians have an excuse for not driving year-round. But I know where you live, Mike. If I can drive mine all year, so can you!

First ride of the season is a great thing! Although it wasn't her first time out this year, it hit an unusually warm 83 degrees here today and I had to go driving for a couple of hours.

Aside from snow/salt, why don't y'all drive your Z cars year-round? OK, I admit I do have a rule during the winter that I don't drive any car I care about after the roads have been salted and until the first good rainfall thereafter (to wash the stuff away). Gawd, with climate change, we sometimes have snow after snow here in Virginia, so sometimes my poor Z has to sit there for as long as a month before I can drive it. But I do... even in the cold.

After being on jack stands since November while I cleaned, painted and Zinc coated the front suspension parts and some of the engine bay items I finished on Sunday around noon (82 deg.) and put the battery in and she fired right up. Went for a short ride and then washed her. Felt GREAT to run her and get all the parts back together with out any left over.

Indeed. No salt here in Oregon, and no significant snow or ice here in the Western Valleys, either. Which is why I drive mine year-round.
