Here's how I mounted mine...

Beams may drop down at high speed, as I assume the front lip spoiler will flex a little under load. Not a problem for me since I don't drive fast at night...

Of course, it would be easy to install some support brackets from the frame rail to prevent this from happening.

Those air dams really seem to simplify the lamp mounting. I'm going to ru outto the JY soon to see if I can get a pair of Mustang or Fusion fog lamps. I know their in those ugly plastic boxes, but cheap is cheap.

Actually, those are meant to be brake cooling ducts, but I found lights that would fit...

$35 lifetime. You won't need fog lights. Get a pair of 7" housing running xenon bulbs on ebay for about $30

search 280z on ebay. They are there most of the time

I went old school with my 71. Got a pair of Hella's and put them under the bumper.

Got them at Autozoneo about a year ag. They were inexpensive, "Blazer" brand halogen driving lights.

They do a decent job of improving visibility at normal, (non-autobon), freeway speeds and I'm happy with appearance.

I did have to modify the backets to make them fit in the barke ducts.

Most peole I've talked to, insist the holes are specifically FOR the lights, and the brakes don't need cooling.

Yeah, you could remove the grille, add a couple nerf bars in the front & back, a small roll bar, and Carroll Shelby's autograph!
