Posted April 21, 201113 yr comment_353542 Hey everyone,I just installed a 280z 5 speed into my 73 240z, and noticed that it has a metal spacer plate between the mount and transmission. This spacer plate wasn't on the 4 speed that I had in the vehicle. The mount bolts aren't even long enough to fit it onto it, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't just missing. My question is if I should or should not leave it on the 5 speed? Did anyone else that swapped a 4 speed with a 5 speed notice that also? Thanx for any information.Bryce Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/39322-5-speed-transmission-mount-spacer-plate/ Share on other sites
April 22, 201113 yr comment_353568 FWIW, I just used the 4-spd mount on the 5-spd. No spacer. Works just fine.Cheers, Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/39322-5-speed-transmission-mount-spacer-plate/#findComment-353568 Share on other sites
