sblake01 Posted April 25, 2011 Share #4 Posted April 25, 2011 Looking at the parts microfiche, the part number for the BPT vavle up to 7/77 supercedes to the part number for 8/77 and up so I'd say that one would work on your 77.

kjphilippona Posted June 24, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted June 24, 2011 A little follow up on this thread, i ordered this BPT and it does not fit my 77 280z. This one has a solid nipple that looks like a hose attaches to it, mine has a threaded boss that attaches to a steel line that comes from intake manifold below the EGR Valve. cozye Posted June 24, 2011 Share #7 Posted June 24, 2011 I believe the steel line that comes up from the intake manifold is similar on the 78, however it's cut off and there is only a vacuum hose connecting the steel line to the BPT. You might simply cut the boss off with a pipe cutter, and connect via vacuum line. An idea anyhow..
kjphilippona Posted June 25, 2011 Author Share #8 Posted June 25, 2011 Thanks cozye, i will give that a try,
cozye Posted June 25, 2011 Share #9 Posted June 25, 2011 I dug up this image for reference, notice the yellow silicon hose at the top of the pic. That's going to the bottom of the BPT. My old one was cracked and all I had was the yellow hose.
