Want to buy an airdam

I want to buy an air damn for my 280z and having it painted and installed when I get the car repainted at the end of this year. I currently have the original bumpers but plan in getting some 240z bumpers when the opportunity presents itself. Should I still buy an airdam for a 280z or if I run 240z bumpers do I buy one for a 240Z?

I'd go with an air dam fitting your finished product.

I like your style airdam. But it looks like your turn signal lamps dictate which one I would need. Are you saying that even though I would have bumpers like yours, I should still go with a 280z airdam even though at the time I will have 240z bumpers?

You have two choices. You can get the 280z airdamn and keep the turn signals in the stock location. This will work very well and the 240 bumpers will fit right into place. Or you can get a 240z air damn, then you will have to get 240z turn signals and a 240z grill.

Personally, I went the 280z route. I do have some 240 bumpers that need restoration for cheap if you are interested. I decided to go with the new stainless ones.

cozye's route sounds most logical to me, Ben. And since 240 bumpers and brackets are fairly difficult to locate, I'd take him up on it.

I got a nice urethane one that came of our 280 with 240 bumpers. I won it at MSA 3 years ago. It is painted. The car was wrecked so therefore the airdam is for sale. It looks exactly like cozye's. It was made by kameri or something like that. It is in great condition. PM me if interested.
