Posted May 8, 201113 yr comment_355096 I have a 240z and just today I purchased a set of 16x7 Konig Rewinds. My original plan was to go with 15"s, but due to 15" tire selection becoming more and more limited each time I buy tires, I opted for the 16"s. One of the reasons I wanted 15"s was I like the appearance of a taller sidewall. Has anyone had any issues with rubbing using 205 55r 16 tires? It has been suggested to go with a 50 series tire, but I think (IMO) low profile tires give the classic Z lines a boy racer look. I'm planning on going with a Tokico spring and shock kit which lowers the car by 1". May 10, 201113 yr comment_355301 My buddy John has the 205/55/16 on his Konig's and I think they look great. If you are not lowering that far, a 55 series will look better IMO. My car is really low and I went with the 205/50 because I wasn't worried about the tire gap or speedo. There are so many options for the 205/55/16 as well, it's the factory tire for many modern vehicles (including my newer Civic coupe). May 12, 201113 yr comment_355498 It depends on the wheel back spacing, but you should be fine Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/39506-rubbing-vs-asthetics/#findComment-355498 Share on other sites
