When I first saw the Shatner car, another customizer came to mind, Darrel Starbird from Wichita, KS. He is famous for many 'bubble tops'. This past February was his 53rd annual show featuring the 'bubble top'.

Gene Winfield usually shows up at the KKOA Leadsled Spectacular in Salina, KS, giving demonstrations. This year it is July 29-31.
