Pleasent times ahead with the "Texan Twins"

Recommended Posts

I may have posted earlier in the wrong area so I hopefully posting in the correct area now.

I got to admit the stars must be lined up correctly because I've had the most unbelievable opportunity offered to me. Many of us dream and acheive of restoring a 240Z, well, I have manage to stumble into the opportunity to have bought (2) 1971 240Z in mint conditions down in Texas hence the reference "Texan Twin" ;).

Both of these cars have number matching motors, 1 car is an AZ car, other car is Southern Cal. car, both have no rust, Type B trans for both, (1) 5 spd trans, plus over $9,000 in new parts. Both cars are ready for prepping for paint just need to do the final surface work.

My daughter (11yrs) and I will leave for Texas with trailer in tow on her last day of school (08 June) for the summer to pick them up. Our jouney will start out from Wisconsin, unfortunately, I will have to do this in two trips but that is ok, since I converted my 2003 Dodge Ram to vegetable oil 62,000 miles ago. Will be able to run almost all the way down and back around Des Moines before I will have to run diesel to get home.

I am sure I will have numerous used parts available based on being those being replaced with new parts and will for sure offer them on this site for others who may be in need.

This is going to be way cool!

You didn't mention a total price, but that's okay, it's none

of my business anyway. But if you got TWO decent 1971

240Z's and $9000 in partZ all in ONE deal, you oughta be

arrested for stealing at ANY price! (Color me envious!)

Would you please share the respective VIN numbers and

dates of manufacture, as some of us like (and even make

an archive of) that type of information?

Thanks, God bless, and All Z Best!.........Kathy & Rick
