December 24, 200222 yr comment_21502 Mr Camo already answered regarding Armor All, and I won't elucidate more on it.Short succinct reply regarding Armor All:It leaves a greasy oily film that attracts dust while it binds with the plasticizers in the vinyl. Then when it evaporates it takes those plasticizers with it slightly weakening your vinyl, over time it will cause cracking, chalking and leaves the vinyl even MORE susceptible to UV ray damage.I mention the POR product Boss Gloss, and I can't recommend it enough, the only problem with it is that you do NOT want to use it on surfaces which should NOT be slippery. i.e. pedals, steering wheel, etc.2¢ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3976-my-new-240z/?&page=3#findComment-21502 Share on other sites

December 30, 200222 yr comment_21777 Hi George, (great name by the way) Congratulatuions. You have purchased a very nice example, you will have alot of fun getting aquainted. As for the dash, mine is perfect too and I also heard worrying stories about products causing the vinyl to dry out etc.. So I decided to be gentle with it... All i use is some very mild detergent (Fairy Liquid in England) mixed with water and then I dabe it on with a sponge. Do a section at a time and then with another sponge of clean water dabe that on until you get rid off any detergent. Then dry it off with a clean soft cloth. The results are great and gentle to the 30 year old vinyl. Enjoy the car! She's a bute!
