Posted June 8, 201113 yr comment_358120 Hello all, I am not really new. I have followed this site for years as I had a 72 240Z for 13 years. I sold it and have toyed with some other cars. I like the odd and rare. I finally got a Fairlady Z. Want an older one but I could not pass this one up as it was too nice and too original. This car was brought over from Japan in 1985 by a Military guy and then all I can tell is that is sat for 22 years in a garage. The guy I bought it from pulled it out and spent some money to get it running again. Now it runs great and it is all original including the L20 engine. Has original paint. interior etc. I even have the original rims. It has only 40K miles on it. I drove it from Indiana to Arizona with no issues at all. It is not geared for 75 but it went like a trooper (once I did a ding dong ectomy) If you are familar with JDM cars as soon as you hit 105 KPH a very anoying alarm goes off to remind you that you are speeding. After a few hundred miles surgery was required. I also have a Suzuki LJ-10 RHD Jeep. (LJ-10.com) Look forward to getting to know many of you. I will post more info if you are interested. Look forward to getting this thing out more. Need the AC replaced. So that is my next goal. Too darn hot here in AZ. June 8, 201113 yr comment_358177 Welcome! And beautiful Fairlady Z Glad more Fairlady's are showing up in the states. Please post more pictures when you get a chance. Keep your eyes open for an older one, they rarely, but DO come up. I found mine in a barn, and did a complete refresh on it (pics in blog). I am loving your wheels and the cleanliness of the car. Good luck! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/39829-1979-fairlady-z/#findComment-358177 Share on other sites
