Posted June 10, 201113 yr comment_358327 Hello, everyone.. I've always been a fan of the z cars, as i've owned two of them, but yet they were a little bit older than the classics.Let me start off with a name, my name is Jonathan, i'm 21, and now stationed in Fort Hood, TX... thanks to the Army! Since i've been there my wife and i have owned 2 z's.. and now i'm looking to own a third total, two we will have then. Right now, we currently own a 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo, and a 2005 Nissan Titan, King Cab, 4WD. We used to own, before buying the newest 300, a 1991 300ZX Twin Turbo, that was super white. So, ever since the purchase of the first z, we've become very fond of them. So now, once i return from this deployment. We're thinking about adding a second Z to our stable, and making this one more of a project car, if you will. I'm stuck between a 240z, and the 280z.. but, really just looking to find one that needs a little TLC, not a whole lot, but enough to really bond with the car. The reason i joined this forum was to get a jist of what these are about, learn a little about them, and maybe find one here or there. Thanks! June 12, 201113 yr Author comment_358446 i dont know right at this moment.... i'd like something that i would still be able to put some love into, and i know spending more than like 3000 for one, it's going to be pretty well already done. so, probably like less than 3k, cause i know i'll have to put work into it, and thats what i want Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/39853-new-member-looking-to-purchase-another-z-after-deployment/#findComment-358446 Share on other sites

June 13, 201113 yr comment_358542 really now?i have family in colorado... i might have to get with you on this one. Sadly, i've got like 2 months until i get back, hope its still there then. and trust me, i've been through and through the classifiedsI'll PM you later with the information later understand I'm very busy right now so give me some time he sent a lot of pictures. He wants more than 3G however it is in the 14G as his asking price, but it is rust free, and has a high end paint job. It also is one of two Z I found with a original SuperSprint Exhaust system, I'm planning on putting a NOS system on my car. If your going to be in Colorado it would be worth looking at. He is a really nice guy we talked for over an hour, and we met in 2004 at a show when I was showing my Z. He can't keep it because of a move, but he isn't pushing hard to sell. June 14, 201113 yr comment_358641 One thing you will find right away just like with any fun hobby, Your ALWAYS doing something to it. Cars especially Wheather it's replacing worn out parts due to normal wear and tear, routine maintenance, or adding your own touch to it like an air dam, upgrading the suspension ect. You will still find plenty to do on A $3,000.00 + Z Car. As beautiful as my 47,800 orig. Mile 280Z is, I can still think of things I'd still like to get done on it. Trust me, your never done but thats all part of the fun of the hobby My opinion is to spend as much as your budget allows. Generally the higher the price, the better and more solid Z you will get. That being said, still be very cautious because there are some sellers out there that say there Z is worth thousands when they are really in pretty poor shape body wise and mechanical wise. The sad fact is, there are lots of shiesters out there  I just pulled my for sale ad on this site for my Z. Like ajmcforester's friend, I'm not pushing hard to sell either. If the right person comes along with the right offer, great. If not, then I'll just keep it and continue to enjoy it. I want to keep it, but it's the cost of the storage garage that really gets old after a while. I just don't have the room at home to keep it sadly. Anyway best of luck in your search.
