You Know You Have An Older Car When ...

Jetaway

Recommended Posts

... when you can actually see the engine and not a bunch of decorative panels.

... when your tensioner is a crowbar or long stick.

... when some kid calls your distributor a coil pack.

... when someone asks you why the engine is turned funny.

... when you can actually remember having an 8-track installed in it.

... when you can say to the inspector with a wry smile, "Catalytic converter? What's that?"

You Know You Have An Older Car When .....

You have to explain to your passengers how the seatbelts work, or why they "Aren't retractable"

You can determine how much fuel is in the tank by the degree of smell inside the car.

You tell the Valet "That's OK, I'll park it myself" cause NOBODY else is driving her around back!!!

You get told on a constant basis "Ya just don't see these on the road anymore" and you're thinking to yourself "Yes I do, every time I drive it"

When young guys and girls say. 'THATS A COOL OLD CAR.'

When you can actually see the spark plugs withought taking off sheets of plastic.

When you get ushered to the race car parking of a targa race when you are just a SPECTATOR.

When a cop pull into a service station beside you saying, "wish I still had my old zed"

When, on the car reaching 40 the annual licencing fee drops by over half.

When most have rotted away.

Brian.
