Posted June 13, 201113 yr comment_358506 A while back I had asked if anyone had any idea how much powder coating might cost. The (nearly) local shop that does that work (35 miles away) called me in this morning to tell me they were all done with all of the parts. What you see, which is everything that would detach except for drive line, axles, and rear diff assembly, came to $319.50. I think that was a screaming deal considering they sand blasted everything as well. It looks AWESOME as far as I am concerned. Now the rugged adventure of reinstalling everything....... Damn I have a lot of money in this car.............. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/39873-powder-coating/ Share on other sites
June 13, 201113 yr comment_358527 THAT is an exceptional deal! I did the same and mine ran ~$450. I love the fact that you can take a bunch of greased out stuff and then when you go to pick it up it looks all shiny and new! It is also a bunch of fun putting it all back on! Enjoy and Post some pics! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/39873-powder-coating/#findComment-358527 Share on other sites

June 13, 201113 yr comment_358551 Do you have any information on the weight? It looks a lot like a good paint job, which is what I did to all the same parts on my car, recently. June 13, 201113 yr comment_358553 Looks very nice and will look even better on the car. I had my stablizer bars and T/C rods done and cost $40, I did the rest with Eastwood rust encapsultor and then chasis black gloss, won't last as long but is easy to redo. June 14, 201113 yr comment_358729 I just got a quote for $225 to do my bumpers, door handles, and wiper arms. That's sandblasting and coating of 8 pcs. Doesn't strike me as too bad, this is one job I won't be doing myself... June 15, 201113 yr comment_358752 Wow that looks amazing... Making me jealous that I just spray painted mine now I hear you on that one! All those hours spent cleaning and sanding, I would be perfectly fine with giving someone $320 and have pretty parts come back without lifting a piece of sandpaper.
