...back on after a long layoff...unbelievable trials and travails with this project. I feel like this is the "final" push, got to get 'er done this time...

Good to see the site going....I'll be posting more a time allows, wish me luck...

Good luck, But when I here "get 'er done" (in that drawl) I think slap it together with no regard to doing it correctly. Sorry that's what happens when people at work who say "get 'er done" are allowed to do things like electrical work, plumbing or Finnish carpentry. Shorts, loose conections, abs glued to pvc, trim put on backwards miters instead of copes and paint runs.

...the urge is there to just slap it together, but my other mind won't let me. It's a lot easier to get things done when you have some inertia going...

OTH...I did manage to start it up this weekend and that put a smile on my face. I have my fair share of shorts and loose connections to sort through already but I'm motivated to complete each task correctly (I have been at this a while... :D).

I'm really close to completion this time (I'll keep a better handle on my sources...) All of the major mechanical systems seem to be working, the head gasket was replaced, and top of the head reconditioned before dry dock, so I'm confident it will run well. It's electrical, body and interior now. As always, I'll do what labor I can do to minimize costs and ensure quality...but not jeopardizing my safety.

We'll see what happens...meanwhile, I'm getting reacquainted with what's goin' on in Z-land...

Hey grantf, what color yellow is the Z in your avatar?
