280babeh Posted June 18, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 18, 2011 Hey everybody i own a 1978 280z and its in very good condition but the frame rails aren't so nice. I bought the bagdog replacements and im having trouble finding someone who will do the job. Has anybody in the miami FL area able to do this or know of a reliable person? This is kind of an emergency because i've been looking for weeks for someone who knows what they are doing and i've stopped driving the car in fear of bending the chassis. If anyone could point me in the right direction i'd appreciate it.(sorry if this is in wrong forum)Thanks, sam
240260280z Posted June 18, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 18, 2011 You need a welder with car experience. Check yellow pages under welding. You can also check with the local car racing community. There are usually experts in the area who are much better than the shops and care about cars.

robftw Posted July 20, 2011 Share #4 Posted July 20, 2011 Paying a local shop is going to be incredibly expensive.. Here is an idea of what your in for it cost me 60$ in welding supplies and a lot of labor from myself and my father. Cutting them out is probably the worst part of the job, and the most time consuming. http://rob280z.blogspot.com/2011/05/frame-rail-and-floor-replacement-part-1.htmlhttp://rob280z.blogspot.com/2011/05/frame-rail-and-floor-replacement-part-2.htmlhttp://rob280z.blogspot.com/2011/05/frame-rail-and-floor-replacement-part-3.html
