July 4, 201113 yr comment_360647 A tragedy, but Darwin at work. Here in Colorado a group of motorcyclists got the legislature to abolish the helmet laws about 10 years ago. When I was a firefighter/EMT it was a fairly common experience to scrape these guys off the pavement and put them in body bags. What a waste. "Don't tread on me..." HAH!Cheers, Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/40100-humour-noir/#findComment-360647 Share on other sites
July 4, 201113 yr comment_360649 I don't see it as much different than driving a 40 year old sports car with no airbags, UHSS crumple zones, or any of the other safety features a modern car has. July 4, 201113 yr Author comment_360650 It is statistically better for a cyclist (bicycle kind) to wear a helmet when in a car than on a bicycle to prevent head injury. Numbers are funny things. Here in Nova Scotia, helmets are legislated both on motor cycle and bicycle riders.... next cars?I can't understand getting a driving with no seat belt fine when bikes do it all the time.
