Just took my 3 year old to see his first movie in the theaters. IT was CARS 2. Not going to comment much on the movie, but I counted NO LESS than 3 maybe 4 240Z'sin that movie. Seems the folks at Pixar like us.

My family went to see the movie without me. I have a fondness for the franchise because Cars was the first movie I took my son to.

The Incredibles, which I believe was also Pixar, had a number of Datsun Roadsters in it, so somebody over there definitely likes Datsuns. Does anyone have a still shot of a Z from the movie that they can post?

not yet, but in 3 months this thread should have those shots.

Why is the 240 look like he is squinting? All the other cars are wide eyed. I wonder what the animators are getting at. they seldom do anything by accident.

There's also a silver Z in that picture - upper right corner...

I also took my son to CARS2. He's two years old, saw one of the cars, and said, "Z-car-oh" ! Sure enough, the movie was full of them... I remember seeing the gong and it looked a lot like the hubcap with a different logo in the middle.

There were a number of spots where I could swear I saw a Z, blue, orange, silver, and perhaps a yellow in there. Some of the scenes were too quick and I didn't have the remote to control the movie..

Makes me want one of those stick-on sun visor strips that Arne had made a while ago, but an extra long one, with Squinty eyes on it rather than "240Z" or "DATSUN"!! And a smiley mouth mask for the rad opening/valance too!

Pixar is working its marketing magic on me apparently.... MUST GO BUY 'CARS' merchandise NOW......

I'm waiting for them to start selling little Z-car "Cars", they're selling Gremlins and Pacers for Chrissake!
