Arizona Z Car cro-moly control arms??

Has anybody used Arizona Z cars' cro-moly control arms?? I am just curious about the quality and benifits. The price is a bit steep and I think i could weld up a set for cheap, but I would like to know if it is worth the time.

I've also contemplated a set of those. The advantages: Much finer and easier adjustment of toe and camber because of the spherical ball joints. Also, there would be no flex from any bushings.

I'm not sure of any weight savings, if anything, they might weight a bit more.

The price is what has keep me from buying any. I have started working on some plans to build my own.

I see hours on an allignment rack tweaking out the suspension. Not to mention hours testing it on a track. I used to race R/C cars that had A arms simular to those and I would spend hours adjusting/testing/measuring & keeping notes. Eventually you would end up with kick arse set-ups depending on the type of track or weather conditions.

For the price these are, they would be hard to justify the expense on a street only car, or even a part-time autocross car. Now for a full-blown GT class car, they would be hard to beat. You can't use them in ITS or EP so that's settles that idea, now maybe for a full out auto-X car, maybe.

Lot of other things you could do with 1200+ dollars that will make your car a lot better than the competition. Course, 1200 only get's you the control arms, then you would need coil-overs, better brakes..... yadda,yadda,yadda.....:cross-eye

That is what I thought. I don't plan on racing my car except for club or free track days, so they are not justified by the improvements, but I think I will still try to weld up a set myself minus a few of the adjustments. I have a 280 parts car to use as a template. I think the "trick factor" would be pretty high also when you get to tell people you made them yourself.
