August 12, 201113 yr comment_363838 Thanks Rob. I knew that, but failed to recall it at the proper time. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/40416-rewinds-vs-rbs/?&page=2#findComment-363838 Share on other sites
August 12, 201113 yr Author comment_363843 Wonder if that can be accredited to any better quality on the RB's? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/40416-rewinds-vs-rbs/?&page=2#findComment-363843 Share on other sites
August 12, 201113 yr comment_363844 Wonder if that can be accredited to any better quality on the RB's?Probably not. Chinese does not necessarily mean bad when talking wheels. Most aftermarket wheels these days are made in China - even some big name, high dollar wheels like OZ, TSW, etc. No way to be certain without inspecting both side by side, but as a guess I'd say those two are pretty equal. August 12, 201113 yr comment_363845 I have my step-son checking on what it would cost to walk in and buy them direct from ROTA. We may be able to get a deal on these if we can get enough of them. He is in Metro Manila going to school (much cheaper than sending three of them to college here at the same time). August 12, 201113 yr Author comment_363863 Now that would be pretty awesome if you could get them for a deal right from ROTA! And by right from, you mean from the distributor you mentioned cosmic or cosmik? August 12, 201113 yr comment_363864 Think conedodger means Manila as in the Phillippines where Rota has it's factory. He may get them at a discount price, but I imagine the shipping cost, like any to/from a Pacific Island, would be high, negating any savings.I got my Rotas ordered earlier this week, after I found a dealer here on the east coast. I saved about $70 total cost compared to the cheapest dealer from the west coast shipping east.
