Gauge of sheet metal

Hi all,

First post in this forum, so please, be gentle.

HLS30-02675 is now mounted on the home made rotisserie (came out sweet btw). Found some rot between the fender apron and firewall.

Does anybody know the proper guage sheet metal to use on the fender apron and/or firewall patch?

Have seen old opinions ranging from 18-22. Want to match up as close to original as possible.

Advice appreciated.
