As a former military kid whose dad was always stationed away. It is good to have you back on our shores. HOpe your Z make those days spent over there fade away.

I am still planning this guys...

MY latest idea is to rent a uhaul to bring my car up there on a car carrier. Why you ask?

Well with all these Z's there is bound to be somebody whose cars has an issue. Small or big. If I rent a truck we can leave it at the B&B and use it as a rescue vehicle so we do not have to rely on Cleatus and his ilk to come by and ruin a great Z car.

Does anybody else think this is a good idea?

My buddy and I did the same thing earlier this year for a track event in College Station. We did not need the truck in the end but it was a nice insurance policy to know it was there.

I think it's a great idea, especially since we will be putting quite a bit of miles on our cars so who knows what could happen.

Looks like we've got quite a few Zs in the group planning on going to the z rally this fall!

We should plan to make an event sometime when the weather gets colder. Around the hill country of Austin or so. Beautiful roads, great food and drink. Great B&B's all over the place. We should make it official.

Lets officially start the GREAT Z road rally 2011. WE can make a map and plan a route. I will volunteer to start planning this. I will pick some windowns down friendly weather. Good cars, good food and good people. I am all for this.

Okay, update...

I think the Austin Area has limited appeal. Basically, I am trying to put this in a place that has great roads as well as great things to do. Also important is great food, and calm places to hang out. I want it out of the way of congestion, but close enough to parts places and civilization in case we need it.

would you guys be interested in making the central location Fredricksburg, TX. Hill and Wine country. Great drives, and great food and drink. Great shopping for those who want to bring their significant other.

This is gaining in momentum at the Zedyone household. So I am about to start a thread about this soon.

What would be cool is if the various Z clubs in Texas had road trips that all converged in the same place. Like an informal weekend rally of some sort. Hmmm now I am pondering.....
