January 11, 200322 yr Author comment_22937 The hatch locks are the most difficult to obtain as well as repair. New door cylinders are readily available as well as repairable and rekeyable. Ignition lock cylinders have a wear problem which can allow the key to withdraw in the on position ( 180 degrees out), but not reinsert which can be repaired with a new internal cylinder. Locks can be rekeyed so they match but they must be the same keyway. There were 2 used and they are mirror images of each other. I believe one uses an N code series and the other uses an M code series. BillScrap out the Z as best as you can before they go to the crusher! March 5, 200322 yr comment_28705 In all over the past 3 months there were over 350 z cars crushed here in Ptln. of the total about 100 were 240s . It s a sad thing to see. Three years ago I posted that way back in my youth when involved with doing this vary thing with " Hot rods" . The same thing happned. It seamed that over night the yards dident have the fenders and windows and grills any more . Well it's happening again . With the internet it helps to find stuff but things are drying up. For myself I have replaced both front fenders , the engine, and diff. and am keeping the old parts. 2manyzs is right he dosn't have 2many . I wish I had a place to park a couple.
