I also have an early air cleaner. It could be used as is or repainted. It is complete with winged bolts, "special bolts" and NOS gaskets - (1) 16548-E3210, (2) 16547-E3210 and (2) 16523-E4600. Please send me a PM if you are interested.

they pop up on Ebay.......keep an eye on it,look at past sale items and see if one was not sold and strike a deal by contacting seller

I found one on ebay for $140, have no idea if that is a reasonable price or not,

I recall seeing older sales of around $40 - 50, or am I dreaming?

Depends if you want the higher demand early style without the winter/summer flap (around $100 to $150), or the newer style with the flap (under $100). These are prices I have seen recently.

When we got out of the aircleaner biz, we were at $300 powdercoated or base coat clear coated, with new gaskets and stickers, complete with attaching hardware and were losing our hat arse and overcoat at that price.
