Posted September 1, 201113 yr comment_365265 I'm about to get MSA's 6 to 1 header (paintable) and was wondering about effectivness of their exhaust jackets. Are they something I need or just wasted money? Thanks for any advice. September 3, 201113 yr Author comment_365321 Ordered the ceramic coated header instead. MSA said not to use them on that header. Can hardly wait for delivery. September 3, 201113 yr comment_365373 Do yourself a favor and wrap the header with the insulation tape to keep engine compartment temps down. And apply the wrap before you install the header, it's a PITA to do it on the car. September 3, 201113 yr comment_365374 I have had several of their headers over the years. I painted it black and wrapped it one time as well. Forget the paint, it ALWAYS burns off. Also, moisture gets into the wrap and then it eats a hole in the header eventually. Best is to get it ceramic coated one... 10+ years on mine. September 3, 201113 yr comment_365387 Wrapping the header voids any warrantee.Ceramic coat it or just paint it. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/40656-anybody-have-a-exhaust-jackets-opinion/#findComment-365387 Share on other sites
