Yeah me too. I've watched the show for years now and I don't think hes that good at a drag race either. From the sound of that 260, it definitely wasn't stock, so it had a better chance. I'm sure it 300zx was the twin turbo one, but I wouldn't think it could be that quick.

Exactly. While a quick car, the 300ZX turbo had some turbo lag and most quarter mile times I've seen have been around 15 seconds. A stock 350Z will run in the high 13s/low 14s. Yeah that 260 was definitely not stock.

The 300ZXTT (Z32) should've owned that race.....PERIOD. According to Nissan the Z32TT clocked in at 5.2 seconds in 0-60 times. The 350 is at 5.8. But, again, it all depends on the driver.

I don't know what year the 300zx TT was but he said in the commentary that it was an 80's 300 which is not the TT. Either way, my father had a '91 TT and according to Road and Track it was good for 5.6s 0-60mph. I'm not sure what the older 350s would do, but my 2008 NISMO has a published 0-60 time of 5.1 or 5.2s depending on who you believe.

I don't think the video stands as a good example of what is the fastest Z up to the 350z, since there was 6+ drivers with different driving abilities. A true test would be to get the lap times of all of them from a single driver for true "scientific" accuracy. And by the sounds of most of them, I don't think a lot of them were good unmodified examples.

I had a 350 and you could go through the gears on her alot faster than that. The 260 isnt much quicker than my 240, and my 240 is nowhere close to the 350. Either this dude is full of fish or he simply can't drive. Pompas british arse.
