Decoy12 Posted September 7, 2011 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2011 Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew of a source for 1972, rear bumper guard rubber pieces? I purchased the front ones from Nissan, but I have checked MSA, BD, Vintage Rubber and even Nissan and can't find anyone who sells them. Are they still available or are they on the list of unobtainium parts?
CW240Z Posted September 7, 2011 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2011 I have this problem as well, I've been looking for alternative resources that could be used to replicate the rubber strips from other cars.Chase
AZ-240z Posted September 7, 2011 Share #3 Posted September 7, 2011 Check out Banzai Motorworks, www.zzxdatsun.com. Go to his catalog, look under rubber and I think you will find what you need.Dan

jfa.series1 Posted September 7, 2011 Share #5 Posted September 7, 2011 Mike McGinnis at Banzai is a really good guy and deserving of support for keeping hard-to find and previously NLA parts out there for us. He provides great service.Jim

Decoy12 Posted September 8, 2011 Author Share #7 Posted September 8, 2011 (edited) Hey Mitchell, Thanks for letting us know that the other bumper rubbers are still available from Nissan, will come in handy later. I think that you are referring to the #4 rubber parts on the diagram from the site below, but I was talking about #4. I called Nissan about part number: 85056-E4600 and they said its NLA. Banzai Motorworks seems to have the reproduction replacements.http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsuns30/DatsunFairladyZIndex/Body240Z/TailGatePanelTrimLockRearBumper/tabid/1765/Default.aspx Edited September 8, 2011 by Decoy12
