Prothane kit

BOMBAYBOB

Recommended Posts

I just completed a full resto which included going with the complete MSA urethane bushing kit and Tokico HP shocks. If I had it to do over again, I would not do the bushing kit. The resulting ride for a street car is just too durn harsh. I completely agree with Dave on the steering rack - this is a MUST fix.

I had to put urethane bushings in my rx7, i will never do it again.

To many busted knuckles, i needed a torch to get them out, and a 3ton press to get the new ones in. Suspension work is by far the worst part of a car

I hate to hear that i plan on starting my suspension. Any pointers on the best bushings to get.

We used hot water trying to get our in. It helped some. We finally had to use longer bolts to get it started. After we got it tight with the long bolts we removed the long bolts and luckily the brackets stayed on so we could put the original bolts back in.

This is excellent advice. This will save you a lot of frustration. Been there, done that..
