Side Panel Lines

My shell has 300K miles on it and been painted 4 times. The lines down the sides of the car were vague at best as they had been sanded/dinged multiple times. Kevin Leblanc at Austin Z-Clinic brought them back to life. Lots of hard work went into it. I asked him to make them a bit more pointy than stock... The lines were built up with thick epoxy primer and block sanded (repeat ad nausea). Click the Large View link. Wha-da-ya-think?

Also started spraying Lizard skin underneath. Neat stuff. I brush POR'd the all the non-exterior panels so the Lizard Skin went over the POR after scratching it up with a red scouring pad.

I know what you meen. After my car had been painted at least 3 times the lines became a little "blurry". I got some of it back before I painted it last but not like youres. Good job.

I need to get a magnetic set of those door ding bumper guards and put it on the car as a practical joke. Problem is I might get shot before I can pull them off to reveal the humor in it.

Better yet, go to the auto parts store and buy a roll of that chrome strip with the red rubber center bumper and hand it to the guy that did all the sanding work, and ask him if he can install it to protect the lines. You can return it if he doesn't succeed in shoving it down your throat.

It would probably go down like the scene in "Casino" where instead of Joe Pesci using a ball point pen, it would be one of those chrome strips... blood everywhere...

Lee, that is going to look real sharp (no pun intended) when the car is painted.

Those lines look great! My car had a total of 7-8 colors on it, including various primer stages etc. and some of the body lines are dented up, etc. I hope I can come out looking that good!
