October 11, 201113 yr comment_368893 I got the flanged bushings at the local hardware store. I measured the roller pin on the hinge for the I.D. of the bushing, then got two so they nested together to make a big roller, which wasn't the correct diameter, but it works. I glued them together and greased the roller pin and got the improvised roller on. Don't make it a tight fit that you need to use a hammer to get it on. It's supposed to roll!To install the roller, I used a big regular screwdriver (or a long pry bar) to push on the detent arm/spring so you can just put the roller on the pin.I used the flanged bushing so it wouldn't pop off like the original one did. October 21, 201113 yr comment_369770 Perfect! I wonder if the roller could be replaced without removing the hinge from the car?Probably. You need to pry the arm over to slip of the old roller (if there is one) and then slip on the new one. Remember to lubricate things. October 21, 201113 yr Author comment_369781 The hinge and arm are in great shape, only the roller has a hole in it. Was wondering how much force ph240 used to punching out the Nissan hinge pin. I'm hoping that a light tap from the bottom will punch it out. October 22, 201113 yr comment_369892 That I'm not sure about, my car is completely apart so i had the hinges on a work bench and with a vise replaced all the bushings and the main pin. the oe roller pin I reused as it was not worn. You may be able to tap it out if you can get a good solid hit with a drift and a hammer. If not Id recommend supporting the door really well and repair each hinge one at a time . I remember that they were in there pretty snug. October 24, 201113 yr Author comment_370121 These are parts for rebuilding the door hinge. This Pin will not work with the roller. Try to reuse the Roller Pin that is on the car.
