We had an old landcruiser (87?) we enjoyed very much for years. Gas mileage was 11 MPG and stayed that way after putting on a new carb though. Supposed to be tough though. I read where someone rolled one and drove off afterwards.

My friend has an FJ40... I went up to Oregon this summer to help him drive down home from school. It gave us no trouble mechanically and sounded great, but my friend said it wasn't made to go very fast... so driving down the 1 along the coast took a while.
