Just bought a real fairlady

Wanted this car for about 10 years now, bugged my buddy the whole time and he finally sold it to me. The history I know o,f and not sure if it's even true, but a Marine brought this one over from Japan where he was stationed. He brought it into Camp Pendleton here in So. cal. Not sure if any of this info is right, it's registered as a 1976 260z, has fuel injection and a 5 speed, vin# S31000850, has a 1998cc engine plate says. Anyone have any idea about this car?
