JK240Z Posted May 17, 2012 Share #49 Posted May 17, 2012 Hi jk240,Thanks for the kind words. Simple reason for the thread here rather than uk is the fact that not many people seem bothered about anything zed related if it's not uk derived. In fact I sometimes feel that most uk owners think that their datsun was built in Sunderland with the other Nissan models. And the forums are more constructive and appreciated by members on this site. Just a bit more civilised. We're not far from each other so hope to see you soon. Ironically I was just reading an old classic car magazine today with a lovely article on your car when Gwyn jones owned it. So glad you changed the front spoiler from what he had. What was he thinking !!! I totally understand that Rahail, the UK club forum is very insular and cliquey at times. Such a shame for such a small number of vehicles. I have that mag, and have met up with Glyn on a couple of occasions, and that spoiler was a shocker wasn't it... Also, almost as ironically, I nearly bought your old white car before I bought the Sam, the fact the chap who owned yours had put old style 260Z wheels on it put me off as well as ythe fact he was not for negotiating on price and then the Sam thing just got the better of me and I bought it for less than he wanted for yours, which judging on the way Samuri prices have gone over the last few years thanks to JD Classics it was a good move... There are plenty of NW meets this year so It would be good to see you at one of them, The LakeZ at the end of June should be a good weekend again, it was last year. Anyway, if you decide to have a garage sale of unwanted rarities, let me know and I'll be straight over, good luck with both projects and definitely keep the updates coming. rahail240 Posted May 17, 2012 Author Share #50 Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) Jk,Very shrewd move on the samuri over my old car.I'm not sure why he priced it so high and why he took the polished wolf race wheels that looked so nice off them.I rang Gwyn when he was selling the 260 and was really keen to buy but it just wasnt the right time really with space etc.Not sure how many more ironics we're allowed to have but i 'may' pm over the next few weeks with some more news!! Nice workHardly a skill, just a lucky contact in Japan, and even luckier to have Alan T aka Hs-30 on hand for advise and opinions.Oh and the other bit that you will need, bloody deep pockets!!The Japanese value the s30 very highly, and rightly so,and it's reflected in the prices.
