Posted October 14, 201113 yr comment_369218 This may have been answered somewhere along the way but I haven't found it yet. Has anyone tried one of the "space saver"/'donut spares" from a late model vehicle in the spare tire well in a 70-78 Z? More specifically a 75? Just wondering if one would fit. I have converted to 5 lug so it has to be one with a 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern.Bryan Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/41073-space-saver-spare-for-the-s30-spare-compartment/ Share on other sites
October 14, 201113 yr comment_369224 I use a zx space saver spare in my 73. I keep a little 12v air pump to inflate it. Its held down with the same screw in clamp. It leaves enough room in the spare tire well for all of the "other" spares I carry around just in case. ...(fuel pump, E12-80 module, coil, a few plugs, baloney sandwich, the usual stuff). October 14, 201113 yr comment_369251 I had one from a Ford of some sort for years. Had to use it a couple times too. It fit down in there quite well, but mine was a 73 which came with a full sized spare so there was tons of extra room Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/41073-space-saver-spare-for-the-s30-spare-compartment/#findComment-369251 Share on other sites
