October 21, 201113 yr Author comment_369795 I am referring to the terminals on the injector connector itself. Positive going from the Resistors and negative coming from the ECU. I have already tested whether the Dropping resistors are getting voltage and they are. I have also tested the main ground circuit and also all ground circuits to the ECU and all are normal. Ill read over the suggestions again and determine the next course of action. thanks for the suggestions, hopefully tomorrow I will be back with more important info. October 22, 201113 yr Author comment_369925 I got my Z running on 5 cylinders, finally! I found a short going to injector #3, I repaired it and then shortly after I found a shorted out injector. Thanks for your input!-Stangrage Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/41113-1976-280z-no-start-no-pulse-to-injectors/?&page=2#findComment-369925 Share on other sites
October 23, 201113 yr comment_369945 Cool! Five cylinders are definitely better than none. I wonder whether that 6th injector might be stuck or clogged. You can run some SeaFoam or Chemtool B12 through your tank to work on varnish in the fuel system. October 23, 201113 yr Author comment_369988 about 4 months ago when it was last running I soaked them in decarbonizer. I am currently debating on buying new injectors, any suggestions on where i can get inexpensive injectors, ya gotta po-boy here. October 23, 201113 yr comment_369991 A walk though the wrecking yard might be worthwhile if there are any Zs or ZXs there. I found a set that looked either factory new or newly rebuilt. Nissan brand. Often, people will replace many parts before giving up and junking a car. You can tell at a glance if the injectors are new, old ones are typically rusty and corroded. October 24, 201113 yr comment_370046 Hmmmm... Zed has an interesting thought/observation there!Failing that, I've had luck with the Standard Ignition injectors sold on eBay for about $150 for the set. (I'm a bit "po" myself, so I can sympathize.)
