Hello,

I took my air vent assembly apart (under the dash on the passenger side) a while back expecting that I would be putting it back together very soon. More and more time went by and I'm just now getting back to it. Despite my efforts to label my parts well and keep everything in order, I have lost my sense of how it goes back together. I have a number of small pieces, to include a small spring looking piece.

Does anyone one know of a diagram that shows how these pieces go together? Again, this is under the dash on the passenger side, up against the firewall. The assembly should open and close the door to allow or cut off air flow.

Thank you!!

The 75-76 FSM (I know you have a 73) has diagrams that are acutually useful and descriptive for things like this. The fan case/vent flapper part of the system are nearly identical in form and function to the 240's. Look at www.xenons30.com for the FSM download.

THis picture is from the AC section of the 76 FSM, page AC 58

Yours won't have the vacumm pot (part #6) that actuates the lever, yours is a cable.
