esprist Posted October 29, 2011 Share #15 Posted October 29, 2011 We are in process of making all 9 different hose clamp set for 240Z cars in Silver zink. Late71 production and newer cars had yellow zink, but we decided to make them in silver. You can alway get them plated in yellow zink. They will be ready around Christmas time. They will be very close to the right size to match the original ones.JDM
Bonzi Lon Posted November 17, 2011 Share #16 Posted November 17, 2011 The genuine Nissan hose clamps from Courtesy arrived yesterday. All 3 different sizes have the hex head, dull zinc and might be a little heavier in comparison. Oh well, they are better than the worm screw clamps on now. I will be waiting to see what esprist has made up for a full set. Also picked up on a new braided PVC hose, 11828-E4620, for $14.39. Still need the braided heater & booster hoses. Little by little. Brubaker Posted November 17, 2011 Share #17 Posted November 17, 2011 If you want to go with the round head, I would go to the nuts and bolts department of your local ace hardware. Take your hex head and clamp and match up the screw length and threads. My local ace has lots of metric sizes in zinc and stainless. It is not going to be original but more original looking than hex and they are cheap. You also only have to buy the amount you need not a box of 20. I have never had success replicating bolts, nuts and screws at any of the auto parts stores.

Stevie P Posted January 17, 2012 Share #20 Posted January 17, 2012 Try your local aquatic centre. In the UK, garden fish ponds have wire re-inforced pastic hose for the pumps, they sell the wire hose clips for pennies, it's been a long term 'best kept secret' over here.Steve
xs10shl Posted January 17, 2012 Share #21 Posted January 17, 2012 If there's a local mechanic who works on old Nissans or other Japanese cars from the era, it's likely he may have some in a box in his shop. Anything can be re-plated to look like new, so long as it's not too far gone. Roadster clamps will probably be identical in appearance.
SteveJ Posted January 17, 2012 Share #22 Posted January 17, 2012 Now that I remember, I believe I bought some last year from a Nissan dealer.
