Signs carbs are clogging up?

Filters inside the carbs have been referenced a couple of times in this thread. I wasn't aware of filters inside the carbs. Where are they located?

The are in the float bowl lid, accessed by removing the bolt & banjo fitting on the float lid. They are a brass mesh.
