Zvoiture Posted January 6, 2003 Share #1 Posted January 6, 2003 Since the list is to be kept clean and concise and updated (great idea) I had to have another place to voice my feelings: YOU GUYS ARE NUTS!!! (ok, most of you). See, I don't have the patience to perform any kind of resto. Strip the body for paint??? Are you nuts?!?I'm actually really glad there are those of you out there willing to take cars into a finely restored state. It will help the marque in the long run. 20 years form now when these cars are rare and expensive, you will be our idols.I like fast, loud, fun, easy, 20 foot cars. Totally Nissan, but tight and fun.my .02steve77

2ManyZs Posted January 6, 2003 Share #4 Posted January 6, 2003 Get the idea there will be a lot of us that won't be driving our Z's for a while??:cross-eye I'm only doing a good job on the 71 as I looked for years for a car as rust free and nice as this one. Now the other car? Might do a hack job on the roof and make a roadster out of it to play with.....:devious: Coil-overs, Rebello L-24, 5 speed, 4:11 Torson, maybe some fibergalss fenders, hood etc and semi-serious cage... maybe even a 50-75hp shot of nitrous:classic:
That Ozzy Guy Posted January 6, 2003 Share #5 Posted January 6, 2003 Well, I've already changed my mind about a couple of things. Over the weekend I've decided not to just reco the engine and carbs but to buy new SU's and go mild on the engine. Have organised the 2.5" zorst and carbs and am shopping for a mechanic to do my engine work. Have spoken to a guy from Thornleigh Cylinder Heads & Engine Reconditioning and also to Ned from Hercules who builds animal engines. Either of them would do a good job in my opinion.
