SteveJ Posted November 21, 2011 Share #14 Posted November 21, 2011 Did you try to bleed out the clutch after you added fluid? If you didn't, you were probably just moving air bubbles. As for the FSMs, look at my signature. The link is there.

psdenno Posted November 22, 2011 Share #16 Posted November 22, 2011 Hydraulics are Tu? What does that mean. Tango Uniform, I believe. If so, it means "dead".Dennis

mn91 Posted November 23, 2011 Author Share #18 Posted November 23, 2011 it was a leaking slave cylinder. thanks guys for all your help. but why do you need to replace both slave and master at once?
beermanpete Posted November 23, 2011 Share #19 Posted November 23, 2011 It is not an absolute requirement to change both at the same time. However, it is a good idea because it is common for one to fail soon after the other.
mn91 Posted November 23, 2011 Author Share #20 Posted November 23, 2011 Ok well I just ordered a new slave cylinder.. But got some bad news guys. I pulled my plugs to do a compression test and they were all foul. This explains the fuel smell in my oil. I Also did an oil change and drive the at for about 50 miles and oil starting to smell like gas again. I did a compression test and got 125 give or take a 5 on all cylinder. That's fairly low... My exhaust was blowing out white smoke after a fresh oil change but after 5 mins of doing it it stopped and doesn't do it at all anymore. Now it only blows out black smoke if I really give it gas. Plus when I'm at wot it stumbles. Probably due to plugs being foul.. So what you guys think. Bad rings??
Reverend Posted November 23, 2011 Share #21 Posted November 23, 2011 Ye might have cracked head gasket
mn91 Posted November 23, 2011 Author Share #22 Posted November 23, 2011 Head gasket would make me feel better.. But would that cause gas to get into oil? I think I'm running rich bc there is a strong fuel smell sometimes. And wouldn't a crack headgasket leak coolant into the oil? Thanks for the respond
Willoughby Z Posted November 23, 2011 Share #23 Posted November 23, 2011 Depends on where the damage is on the gasket. There are passages from block to head. Oil, coolant and cylinders are all separated by the gasket material in the space between the block and head. Gasket damage between oil passage and coolant passage= coolant in oil/ oil in coolant. Gasket damage between cylinder and an oil passage, you get the picture. Valve train problems will allow oil into top of cylinder/ unburnt fuel back up into the head. Willoughby Z Posted November 23, 2011 Share #24 Posted November 23, 2011 Check valve adjustment, then do a wet compression test. Give a little shot of oil in the plug hole and check the lbs. If the pressure goes up wet, then the rings are losing the pressure. If the pressure is the same wet or dry, then it's a good chance that it needs a valve adjustment/job.
