Posted December 5, 201113 yr comment_373645 I think Im gonna just turn the vent hose from rear of car down right at firewall. Maybe I can find some kind of cap that will still let it breath. Anyone see a problem with doing this? I'd rather know now than later. December 5, 201113 yr comment_373659 Nothing in your picture looks obviously like a "vent hose". To me anyway. If you mean the vent line from the gas tank to the charcoal canister, that line needs to be open. December 5, 201113 yr Author comment_373662 yep the one thats curved down a little in center of firewall. Used to go to air cleaner I think but im not planning on hooking it up to triples. But I am planning on leaving it open. December 5, 201113 yr comment_373663 I think you mean the evap. line? If so,you ran it that far why not finish the job and vent it to the intake via the flow switch? December 5, 201113 yr Author comment_373670 Thats is what Im talking about. just figured it would be one less thing in engine bay. Dont remember if the k&n's have fitting for the vent hose(triple webers). If so I guess I could do that, less chance of trash getting in it and clogging it up i guess. December 5, 201113 yr comment_373690 You can put a small fuel filter on the end of the line to keep dirt out. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/41556-will-this-vent-hose-be-ok-like-this/#findComment-373690 Share on other sites

December 6, 201113 yr comment_373765 No input, just to say I hate you.Engine bay looks great!!!!Wish I had the time and guts to strip mine and do it as "right" as you've done.Well, maybe when I retire in 11 years.Keep up the great work! December 7, 201113 yr Author comment_373845 Thanks for the opinions. I was trying to avoid having another hard line that was unnecessary routed through engine bay. As long as it wont hurt anything, I think Im gonna dead end it where it is. Plus I really dont want to buy another piece of line or add to it at this point. I hope to get the suspension and wheels back on it this weekend. December 7, 201113 yr comment_373849 Very nicely done! I've been thinking of what to do with that line as well, my 260Z has triples also. Keep up the good work and please keep the pics coming...
