BRAVO

You will probably realize that most of us try to stay away from politcally sensitive subjects. We just like our old cars. With the state of affairs in this country who needs the extra stress of being insensitive to someone of another culture. As if we don't already have enough of that here. Had it not been for the Rebuilding Act enacted for both Europe and Japan Mr.K may never have come up with the funding for our OLD CARS. PEACE

Thanks Yanks,

I don't think I would have liked speaking Japanese.

Rick.

Rick,

Let's not forget 'The 8th That Came Before The 7th': http://vintageaeroplanewriter.blogspot.com/2009/12/remember-8th-that-came-before-7th.html

It's a bit of a stretch to link the 'Rebuilding Act' directly to 'our' cars, and it certainly wasn't Yutaka Katayama's job to "come up with the funding" for any of our cars either.

It was his job to sell them.

Then, why didn't you? Rick comment was quite simple, easily understood and really didn't need to go where you took it....

Thanks for the link. I always welcome history lessons, especially about WWII.

Well........let's just say history goes back further than the 20th century.

Latin anyone ?

Esmit208 exited best ... PEACE !

I think we're discussing different points. My comment had nothing to do with history. If he hadn't entered he wouldn't need to exit. Remember the thread sat for four days without a comment and this will be my last one in it.
