Posted December 10, 201113 yr comment_374092 I actually already kind of introduced myself in an engine thread, but I figured I would go ahead and make a post about myself. I'm Ted (obviously), and I was previously a pharmaceutical technician for a local hospital, but I've recently left their to become a Navy guy, specifically aviation mechanics. I'm 23 years old, and have had a slew of different cars. I was a big push rod muscle car guy when I was in high school, but it was mostly the fact that they were stupid loud and incredibly simple. I've had a '78, '79, and '86 Camaro, all with pretty typical 350s, an '85 El Camino with a 305, and my first car, a '65 Corvair Monza 110 that me and my dad built. As far as dailies go, I've had a couple EG chassis civics, a '69 Beetle (that was a lot of fun), '00 Focus, and a previous auto cross car in the form of an '86 Gti with a G60 from a Corrado. However, I've been an avid Z car nut for close to 8 or so years now (8th grade to 23), and have owned 6 different Zs. Them being a '73 240z, a '74 260z, a '78 280z, an '86 300zx Turbo, and two '87 300zx Turbos. You could say I have a bit of a problem! I'm extremely familiar with the L series engine, having built a few for friends. I'm also pretty good with the VG30E(T), though my work on those has been limited larger turbos, injectors, fuel pumps, and basic maintenance/bolt ons.I've been playing bass for about 7 years and acoustic for 9, and listen to everything from Dead Milkmen to the Grateful Dead to Timmy Curran to Slayer to Eminem, I.E. Everything. I also can't get enough of Archer and South Park.Anyways, its good to be here and I hope to stay! December 12, 201113 yr comment_374240 So you've owned 16 cars by age 23? You should easily pass my count. I'm on my 51st but I'm...shall we say...a bit older. December 12, 201113 yr Author comment_374262 Welcome Ted, is there another Z car in your future? Oh absolutely. I would like to find a 260z shell once I get the motor built, mainly because the motor I have planned will have a 2569cc displacement. I can't wait to get back behind the wheel of an S30 chassis, the Z31 just isn't cutting it for me, Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/41602-official-introduction/#findComment-374262 Share on other sites
