Wheel size help?

Hello all, I have a 1973 240Z that I have just completed front brake upgrade and rear disk brake conversion. Front being 1982 Toyota 4x4 calipers worked perfect. The rear disk conversion was from Modern Motorsports using the 240sx calipers, problem 14 inch wheels now won’t fit back on? Will the Rota RB 16x7 with a +4mm offset fit over the calipers? Or would the Rota RB 16x8 +10mm offset work better? Thanks

Both of those wheels would end up in about the same spot on the outside. Keep in mind that tire width will be the main issue-especially if are going larger than 225's. You need to check the inside to make sure there is no interference with the spring/strut. Also, you may have some clearance issues at the front valance with the 8" wheels. I remember seeing a writeup on this somewhere on this site.

Out of curiousity, did you go with the vented rotors on the front or the solid ones? I'm planning on the upgrade and am trying to get all the parts in order.

A quick question on your brake upgrades on the 240 as I am looking into these now as well.

For the upgrade that you did on the front of your 240, what size wheels are you running? I looked into the Toyota upgrades from MSA as well as the Wilwood one from Arizona Z and both of them require at least a 15 inch rim. Unfortunately I am running 14 inch wheels and so neither of these will work for me. I need to find an upgrade that will work with my existing 14 inch rims.

Thanks.

Mike.
